Imagine fleeing your country due to the threat of war, famine or violence. Imagine packing up your family and leaving everything behind. Imagine an arduous trip filled with danger, chaos and suffering. Imagine arriving on foreign soil, living among strangers, struggling to communicate and being alone and hungry. This is the day-to-day reality for many refugees and their families who have recently settled here in Western Massachusetts. Our hearts go out to the children, mothers, fathers and grandparents who have recently arrived on our shores. In this “the season of giving” let’s reach out a hand
